Overview

The Discover and Respond (DNR) workload in Microsoft Purview provides tools for eDiscovery and audit capabilities. It includes basic and advanced eDiscovery functionalities, allowing organizations to search, preserve, collect, analyze, review, and export content responsive to internal and external investigations. DNR is designed to help organizations manage their data lifecycle and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Discover and Respond P2 is part of the advanced tier of the Discover and Respond workload. It includes enhanced features for retention policies, automated classification, priority cleanup, and advanced records management. These features are designed to improve data governance and compliance by providing more sophisticated tools for managing and protecting sensitive information.
