In this article: Overview description of the Migration Process
Migration Process Description
Every customer has a unique source environment. To ensure a successful data migration onboarding experience, it’s vital for customer expectations to be reviewed, discussed and properly set before beginning their migration activities.
FastTrack provides remote guidance for core onboarding, which involves service provisioning, tenant configuration, and identity integration. Based on each customer's current setup, partners must create a remediation plan that brings the customer source environment up to the minimum requirements for successful onboarding. All supported Microsoft 365 products have different requirements. Review the requirements for each before beginning.
Advanced Deployment Guides
Microsoft provides customers with technology and guidance found in the Microsoft Admin Center to assist with deployment. Microsoft 365 Setup could be found here.
The FastTrack Delivery uses these Advanced deployment guides: Advanced deployment guides for Microsoft 365 and Office 365 products - Microsoft 365 Enterprise | Microsoft Learn.
Partner Role
Partners should review FastTrack Data Migration to ensure that the following expectations are clearly communicated to the customer:
What is included in the FastTrack Migration Benefit and what is not.

- The timelines are for guidance purposes only and the Migration team cannot commit to these as mentioned in the FastTrack Data migration service description.
Support through possible value-added services in cases where tasks are outside the capability of the customer.
